The Australasian Allied Health Benchmarking Consortium (AAHBC) was convened in 1997 to develop a standardised method of recording allied health practitioner’s activity. The aims of the network are to:
- Maintain a network of collaborative teaching hospitals
- Collaboratively innovate allied health activity and workforce initiatives to ensure evidence based and quality outcomes for consumers, staff and our organisations
- Develop and implement a standardised approach to benchmarking of allied health activity and evaluating processes and outcomes
- Develop a model which links benchmarks, inputs, process and eventually outcomes
- Establish validated benchmarks for allied health activity
N.B. This consortium was formerly known as the National Allied Health Benchmarking Consortium (NAHBC).
